Raj Aji, the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at BILL, brings more than 20 years experience at the intersection of law and technology. Raj leads the legal and compliance function at BILL, bringing deep expertise in financial technology and digital commerce services.
Prior to BILL, Raj led the legal and compliance team for Intuit’s financial services businesses. Raj was the SVP and General Counsel at Obopay, where he was integral in forming commercial relationships with global banks and telecoms, and deploying mobile payment services in seven countries spanning three continents. He also served as the Managing Attorney for Cisco in Asia and the General Counsel at Xoom.com through their IPO and a $4B merger to form NBC Internet.
Raj currently serves on the Board of the African Diaspora Network, a non-profit that promotes social impact through entrepreneurship and economic development in Africa and African diaspora communities.
Raj holds a J.D. degree from the University of California Berkeley, School of Law and a B.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai.
