New BILL Invoice Coding Agent: Making Transactions Touchless and Intelligent

The Agent, now available to AP customers, automatically extracts and codes complex, multi-line invoices. Trained on more than 250 million bills, including hundreds of thousands of highly complex invoices processed every year, it learns your historical coding patterns and applies them consistently at scale.

Applied to an average of one million multi-line bills each month, the agent:

  • Reduces coding steps by up to 89%
  • Increases automated multi-line bill coding by nearly 50%

We’ve also expanded the BILL Transaction Agent to reduce time spent on everyday spend management tasks, including:

  • Receipt capture from Gmail and auto-generated receipts
  • AI-generated transaction notes that minimize manual work and improve clarity

Since the October launch, we’ve already seen a nearly 16x increase in automatically captured receipts - saving BILL customers more than 1,100 hours of manual work.

New and Expanded Agents to Automate Vendor Management 

Growth requires spend, and spend requires vendors. But managing vendor information and compliance often means constant follow-ups, emails and interruptions. 

The new BILL Smart Response Agent will automatically draft answers to routine bill and payment questions from vendors and stakeholders, saving time on repetitive email chains. 

The Smart Response Agent will be available soon in beta, with sign-ups now open for customers who want to cut down on the time it takes to answer repetitive vendor questions.

BILL’s W-9 Agent, which we launched in October 2025, is now available to all BILL AP customers. It’s also now available on the BILL mobile app, giving teams real-time visibility into W-9 status and compliance control from anywhere.

This Agent autonomously collects tax documents, helping teams stay compliant without adding overhead. Since it launched in October, the Agent has already collected 40,000 W-9s for nearly 10,000 customers – saving them ~1,000 days of manual work.
