BILL Supplemental Privacy Notice for Canadian Users

This Supplemental Privacy Notice applies to Our Websites and Services in Canada. 

Account information collected

The Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (Canada) and the Money-Services Businesses Act (Quebec). To help government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal or provincial law requires financial institutions, including money services businesses like BILL , to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies every customer.

What this means for You: When You use the Services, we will ask for Your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow Us to identify You. We may also ask to see Your driver’s license or other identifying documents, such as business related documents. We will let You know if additional information is required.

Consent

We collect, use and disclose Personal Information for the purposes identified in the Privacy Notice, and for any additional purposes, as permitted by law, with notice to You and Your express or implied consent.

Opting Out of Third Party Advertising

You may be able to take advantage of the tool developed by the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada to opt out of third party advertising. Where available, this tool provides a list of parties that may target advertisements based on Your online web-browsing activities and the ability to opt out of their use of Your information for that purpose. Information retention

The file containing Your information will be maintained on our servers or those of our service providers and will be accessible by our authorized employees, representatives and agents as necessary for the purposes described in the Privacy Notice.

We and our third-party service providers store and process Your information outside of Canada, in the United States of America and elsewhere in the world.
